Had a fun day over at Universal Studios Singapore over the weekend. With a group of about 20+ people. Thanks to my friend’s cousin who are able to acquire the tickets for half price through their company.
Basically, the theme park is divided into 7 sections:

Enchanted Airway Roller Coaster – Seated within a red dragon with about 8 rows, 2 seats each. Fun and fast ride like a swift of wind. Suitable for children as it was safe and not thrilling. ★★★★★

3. The Lost World
Rides
Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure River – Roaming through the river in a 9 seats round yellow raft with dinosaurs around you. Expects a bumpy ride and turnaround in the water. Get into a pitch dark passageway and find a dinosaur roaring in the drainage hole. Finally you are up on an elevator, look up and be captured in the camera. Pray hard that number 3 is not anywhere behind or beside you, or you end up really drench. Continue the ride and expect some ‘surprise’ from the dinosaurs. ★★★★★
Canopy Flyer - Choose either front or back seats, 2 person per row. Preferred front seats tho. You will be off and exposing your legs in the air very soon after you are seated. Nothing to grip on except the black safety hold rested on your lap. Fly around the lost world with tourists below looking up at you. Ride that ends fast and furious as well. ★★★★★

Waterworld Live Stunt - Spectacular show with good actors and actress that have good acting skills. Exciting with stunts, real-time explosion, water and fire effect, fighting scenes, and many others. Sound and visual effects further aids in making the show enjoyable yet thrilling. ★★★★★

Fossil Fuels – Variety of hotdog meal ranging from $7 to $12. Was not as delicious as I thought, but manage to fill the stomach for lunch. ★★★★★
4. Ancient Egypt

Revenge of the Mummy - A must ride high speed roller coaster that goes in the dark. First you will see 2 men before you knock on the wall of brick that it cracks and swarms of beetles will moves out, you seems to feel it crawling on to you with the water mist. Next you will encounter a sudden change in track and a backdrop unknowingly before you moves on to the next scene after a series of front fall. You will next feel the heat at the place with golden statues and display on your sides with flames above you. Then expect another few series of front fall at high speed before you reach the end of the journey after the voice of evil laughter. ★★★★★

Accelerator – Seated in an enclose spinning ride for up to 5 person each and you get to spin internally if you are up to challenge against the twirling effect. ★★★★★

Shows
Lights, Camera, Action hosted by Steven Spielberg – The incredible special effects as seen in the movie is portray live on stage here. A short introductory video is shown before going into another stage for the show. You will be in the boat where a storm occurs, leading to a sequel of events where things will fall, lights will flicker, ship crash in, boat drop-down, caught in flames, and sudden drop in platform. Be sure to stand in the first row! ★★★★★

7. Hollywood

Pantages Hollywood Theater – Indoor theater with the show presented by ‘Monster Rock’, a rock-and-roll musical show that was sang by the various monsters in the show. They even incorporate some comedy and the famous ‘Nobody’ by Wonder Girls. A nice and enjoyable show if you enjoys music. ★★★★★

Apart from the above, there are also characters walk-about around the theme park for visitors to pose and take photos with them. The building structures, features around the park, vintage cars and decorative layout, all is a reason for you to ‘must-take’ photos (even if you are camera-shy).
However, some down-side of the theme park is that the waiting time for rides is too long. A ride less than 30 seconds takes 1 hour queuing time. Can you imagine that we have only 9am-6pm (9hours minus time to eat and take a break) to explore around the whole theme park. (you can purchase the express pass though, just additional half-price of the original ticket charge only) Time is really limited to queue, take pictures, and shop within these duration. Also, they should revamp their washroom, because any major shopping centers along orchard road had much better facilities and nice interior design as compared to USS.
All in all, I would like to visit USS again to take pictures, take rides, watch shows, purchase items, and eat in all restaurants. Yes, the ticket is expensive to me. And it’s the desire of many others who visit USS just once. =)
ONE DAY IS JUST NOT ENOUGH!
